The Tornado That is Little Bug

I remember many a day that my mom would tell me that she could spend all day just following me around and picking up after me because I had the "Dropsy's" You know when you just drop things everywhere. I never really understood her frustration until I had a child with the "Dropsy's".

Last Tuesday, I was picking up and working on my weekly chores of getting the apartment back together after the busy weekend and I decided that my Bugs would not learn anything if I just kept picking up all their things and putting them away so I made piles.  It became very evident that there was really only one small problem.  Little Bug.

The bathroom counter.  The two tall bottles are Bug's and everything else Little Bug's.

The dirty soccer clothes from the night before when we took a shower. Little Bug.

The pile of clean clothes that were on the floor that we "put away." Little Bug.

The secret hiding spot that we both know about for the clean "put away" items. Little Bug.

The pile of things found in the kitchen, dining room and living room that were just dropped.  I found two pairs of dirty socks under the couch. Little Bug

Just to let you all know that I am being fair I did look for things to put in a pile for Bug but everything was already in her room in a reasonable place that I could still vacuum around it. So I am not just tyring to pick on Little Bug.  Everything was placed in her room for her to pick up after school but it did little to help my frustration that day to say the least.

I just have to remember not to do it for her as she will never learn.  Just like everything else in Little Bug's life, if she doesn't want to do it or doesn't see it worth her time then why do it.  Hopefully we can work on curving that behavior a little bit.  I will say though that like her father, when she puts her mind to it, there is no stopping her.  She does have the strength and determination that I admire but only on her terms.  I guess that is better then nothing.  She is a girl that knows what she wants.

'Til the next adventure...
